- Joseph W Tyndall was a giant and son of a wealthy Indian family had the nickname "The Terrific Red Man" played for 1 or more schools without attending classes

Article from the Voice in 1905 about the 1890 Season:
- There were 4 downs in 5 yards.
- The scrimmage line was called the rush line.
- Each half was supposed to be 45 minutes (seldom were).
- A touchdown was 4 points.
- The goal after the touchdown was 2 points.
- After a touchdown, the ball was put into play by kicking it up the field from the goal line.
- A 30 yard punt was considered excellent.
- McMillan was the unofficial coach
- The "V" formation was allowed
- The practice field was where Taylor now stands
- The games were played at the Fairgrounds
- The players averaged between 170-175 pounds
